#TheReadingQuest

Wow. It has been a while since I have been on here! Hello internet! *shouts into the void* *blows dust off the keyboard*

Ahem, anyways, you may be wondering, Carolyn what on earth has brought you back to this corner of the internet? Well…me…I have decided to join a most epic and noble quest, The Reading Quest. This reading challenge is crossed with a video game-like quest to tackle those towering TBRs, gaining HP and EXP along the way to become the fiercest reader in all the land!! 🤓📚📖

Hosted by Aentee from ReadAtMidnight.com, this quest runs from August 13th to September 10th. Click here to go to the sign-up post if anyone would like to join!

Make sure you pack extra supplies! Reading snacks, tea, tissues to cradle your tears from all of the book feels, etc.

You can choose from four different characters: the Knight, the Bard, the Rogue and the Mage. Each will lead you down a different path with book challenges that you must complete before moving onto the next character.

I will be starting as the Knight and here is my TBR! Starting EXP and HP are both 10

Challenge: The First Book in a Series

Book: The Isle of the Lost by Melissa De La Cruz

EXP: +10

HP: +31

Challenge: A Book with a Verb in the Title

Book: Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

EXP: +20

HP: +33

Challenge: A Book with a Weapon on the Cover

Book: Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

EXP: +10

HP: +42

Challenge: A Book with a Red Cover

Book: Midnight Riot by Ben Aaronovitch

EXP: +10

HP: +31

Challenge: A Book that has a TV/Movie Adaptation

Bool: Tokyo Ghoul #1

EXP: +5

HP: +22

Once those are all complete, I will mostly likely continue along the board by completing the Bard challenges. But that will be another post. I am going to try and do once or twice a week updates with page and point counts, key word here being try.

If you decide to take up the challenge, please comment below with your TBR post!

See you on August 13th!!
